Introducing - Atlas Bound
Meet soulful Sydney electronic duo Atlas Bound.. Fresh Sydney duo Atlas Bound are having a good time of things lately - following the release of their first single LOCK (clocking up a not-bad 250,000+ plays in a month), they've just been nominated by Stoney Roads/Red Bull for Breakthrough Producer Of The Year (more info HERE) in the upcoming Stoney Roads Awards. So really, it's time you got to know them a little better: Tell us about yourselves:  We actually used to go to school together but didn’t really get to know each until we had a semi-intoxicated conversation while we were out one night and decided to meet up for a jam. We both grew up with music but in totally different ways. One of us was sitting at home playing synths and making beats while the other was sneaking into dad’s record collection and recording Simon & Garfunkel covers on the old school Walkman tape cassette recorders. What kinda tunes:  We don’t really know! I guess you could say we met in the middle of our musi

Chet Faker - Talk Is Cheap Remixes
Ta-ku and Kaytranada apply their unique set of skills to Chet Faker's huge single.. Last night we saw Chet Faker do his live thang at the Astor Theatre, and while the hangover is still too strong to encapsulate all of our thoughts regarding said show right now, there's definitely head space to share a couple of dope remixes laid out for the bearded one. KAYTRANADA FLIP First up Kaytranada gives it the old Kaytranada flip, applying his signature sounds on a housier tip. All of Kaytranada's drums sound so live, which I love. Once it gets going though it's all club groove and eery synths. The sax from the original gets left out, and I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but it's a choice that doesn't detract from the tune in anyway. TA-KU REMIX Ta-ku goes the darker route, but still packing plenty of those feels he's pretty come to have complete ownership of. It makes for a seriously well rounded little selection of music. The original, Ta-ku's take and Kaytranada's flip sound so di
