Tributes have begun rolling in for Roback.
"It was ironic, we suppose, that a band famous for being listened to in the dark played in the dark to us."
"It's a bit strange, you're at the cinema, just watching a movie, then all of a sudden your music starts playing, super-loud."
The seasoned skinsman was also a member of acts such as Opal, Monitor and Green On Red
It’s a largely self-produced effort with some guest spots and it’s sometimes uplifting (In The Kingdom), often chilling (California), but always assured, as the duo always were, really.
The album never takes off; it’s a sweetly woozy listen without a natural start or finish.
